Rungta International Skills University (RISU) is located on the Rungta Educational Campus in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, and is managed by the GDR Educational Society. The institution began in 1999 as Rungta College, founded by Shri Ghanshyam Dasji Rungta, and grew under Group Chairman Santosh Rungta into a group of colleges in engineering, pharmacy, commerce and science. In 2025 it became Rungta International Skills University, Central India's first private skill-focused university.
RISU offers industry-aligned undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across schools including Computer Science & Engineering, IT, Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Management & Commerce, Law, Education, Humanities and Research. Its outcome-focused, skill-integrated model follows the NEP 2020 framework and is supported by global certifications and partnerships with organisations such as Google, Microsoft and IBM.
